So, we spoke to one of our patients after she came in for the in-office teeth whitening treatment to ask about her experience. What information did you have prior to getting your teeth whitened?
“I was familiar with the overall process of the in-office whitening system from the ads and in-office materials.”
Were you happy with your smile before your appointment?
“I was not very fond of my smile going into the appointment because a few of my teeth are crooked. I was excited to try the whitening system because I felt that whitening my teeth could definitely help with how I saw my smile. Crooked teeth aside, I do feel better about my smile now that I’ve had them whitened and feel more confident.”
Have you had your teeth whitened before?
“I’ve used the over-the-counter whitening strips before. However, I have never done a professional whitening treatment in a dental office.”
What did it feel like when the teeth whitening was applied/processed?
“The process was really simple. It didn’t feel like much other than the normal soreness of having your mouth open for a long period of time. It was comfortable and pretty effortless on my part. The whitening solution wasn’t too cold or anything like that. I could barely feel it when Dr. Bumgardner was applying it.”
How long did the process take?
“The whole process took around an hour total. It’s 4 separate, 8-minute sessions of the light therapy, plus a few minutes in between to apply the whitening solution.”
Did you experience sensitivity during or after the process?
“I have very sensitive teeth, so I was a little worried about this going into it. But during the process, I only started to experience some sensitivity towards the very end. However, a few hours after the treatment, my teeth did start to get more sensitive. It felt like a dull ache for the rest of the night. The next day, my teeth felt great and were totally back to normal, just brighter!”
Would you recommend this service to others who want a brighter smile?
“I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is looking for great, hassle-free, instant results. It barely took any time, and I didn’t have to mess with all the trays and gel at home. I would definitely do it again, especially before a big event or a trip.”
Are you happy with your results?
“I’m very happy with the results! My teeth are whiter than they’ve ever been, and the results were instant.”
